On December 1, 2011, joint conference of the GIZ “Climate Tolerenat Rehabilitation of Degraded Landscapes in Georgia” and REC Caucasus “Sustainable Land Management for Mitigating Land Degradation and Reducing Poverty in the South Caucasus Region” projects was organized by REC Caucasus in Sheraton Metechi Palace Hotel, Tbilisi.
The participants included government representatives from three countries – Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia, as well as international Organizations and NGO-s.
The participants discussed possibilities and options for replication of good practices (GIZ experience as a case), as well as recommedations for structures of future meetings, which would include more discussions regarding .
On the second day of the conference, December 2, 2011, participants travelled to Dedoplistskaro, Kakheti region, for a field trip, where in field Presentation of GIZ project activities in windbreaks rehabilitation and forest plantation were organized.
