Preparation of Local Solid Waste Management Plans

On February 2, 20f Dilijan community to present the “Methodology for Preparation of Local Solid Waste Management Plans” EU BSB 1138 – “Anti-Littering Par22, a regular meeting on Waste Management Plan preparation was held in Dilijan (Armenia) with the members of Council of Elders and established working group otnership for Green Rural Areas”.

Тhe meeting was attended by Mr. Robert Alikhanyan- Chairman of the Standing Committee on Social Affairs, Health and Environment of Council of Elders of Dilijan community, Mr. Vanush Piloyan – Director of Utility service CNPO of Dilijan Municipality, Ms. Lamara Mantashyan – Chief Specialist of the staff of Dilijan Municipality, Mr. Vigen Tamrazyan – “Dilijan Youth Cooperation Center” NGO, Projects Coordinator, Mr. Albert Haroyan – Local coordinator of BSB-1138 Project, Mr. Edvard Babinyan – Chief Specialist of the staff of Dilijan Municipality. The meeting was moderated by BSB -1138 Project Expert Mr. Tigran Oganezov.

According to the agreements, the next step will be a trilateral meeting, preferably with the participation of the staff of Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of RA, and the preparation of a work schedule. Within the framework of this initiative, the project working group set out the priorities of the steps for the document preparation and the upcoming activities to publicize the new methodology.
